    Terms & Conditions: Organic Handmade

    1. Organising entity

    The present challenge (hereinafter, the “Challenge”) is organised by Freepik Company, S.L.U., with registered office at Calle Molina Lario 13, 5th floor, 29015, Málaga (Spain), and Tax Identification Number B-93183366 (hereinafter, “Freepik”).

    2. Purpose of the Challenge

    The purpose of the Challenge is to encourage the creation and upload of original resources that reflect the “Organic Handmade” style, characterised by real textures, human strokes, intentional imperfections, and a natural finish that conveys authenticity and artisanal character.
    The content must move away from artificial or excessively polished finishes, prioritising manual aesthetics and the creative value of the process.

    3. Subjective scope of participation

    The following individuals may participate in the Challenge:

    • Persons who are at least eighteen (18) years old.
    • Contributors registered on Freepik under the Pay Per Download model.
    • Persons holding an active account in good standing on the Freepik platform.

    Employees of Freepik, as well as any persons who do not meet the requirements set out in these terms and conditions, are excluded from participation.

    4. Timeframe

    Files uploaded between 23 February and 23 March, both dates inclusive, shall be considered valid.
    The winners will be announced on 13 April, and the financial incentive shall be included in the invoice corresponding to the month of May.
    Only resources published within the indicated period shall be considered valid.

    5. Resource requirements

    In order for resources to be considered valid, they must cumulatively meet the following requirements:

    • First item
    • Second item
    • Third item

    Employees of Freepik, as well as any persons who do not meet the requirements set out in these terms and conditions, are excluded from participation.

    • They must be original and created entirely by the participant.
    • They must not infringe intellectual property rights, industrial property rights, image rights or any other rights of third parties.
    • They must conform to the “Organic Handmade” style in accordance with the creative description of the Challenge.
    • They must comply with Freepik’s applicable technical and quality standards.
    • They must be published using the mandatory Challenge tag: handmadechallenge.
    • They must be uploaded in one of the following formats: Vectors, Photographs, PSD Templates or PSD Mockups.
    • They must not have been generated, either in whole or in part, using artificial intelligence tools.

    Freepik reserves the right to exclude any resource that, at its sole discretion, does not comply with these requirements or does not align with the creative direction of the Challenge.

    6. Participation mechanics

    Participation shall take place through the upload of resources to the Freepik platform, duly tagged with the mandatory tag handmadechallenge, within the indicated period.
    Each participant may upload as many resources as they wish within the chosen category, always respecting the monthly upload limit applicable to their subscription.

    Only those resources that:

    • Comply with the criteria established in these terms
    • Are correctly tagged
    • Remain published and active on the platform until the date of the Challenge resolutions.

    7. Categories and incentives

    The following categories are established:

    • Vectors
    • Photographs
    • PSD (including PSD Templates and PSD Mockups)

    In each category, three (3) winners shall be selected, in accordance with the following prize structure:

    • 1st place: €300
    • 2nd place: €200
    • 3rd place: €100

    There shall be a total of nine (9) winners.

    In the event that the winner elects to receive payment in a currency other than EUR, the amount payable shall be adjusted in accordance with the applicable exchange rate in effect on the date the payment is made.

    The prizes shall be paid together with the invoice corresponding to the month of May.

    8. Evaluation and selection criteria

    Resources shall be evaluated by an internal jury composed of professionals from Freepik’s creative team.

    The selection shall be carried out based, among others, on the following criteria:

    • Faithfulness to the proposed organic and handmade style.
    • Technical quality and execution.
    • Creativity and aesthetic value.
    • Coherence and consistency of the set of submitted resources.
    • Added value to the Freepik catalogue.

    The evaluation shall be carried out anonymously and in accordance with internal assessment criteria. The jury’s decision shall be final and binding.

    9. Intellectual property

    Participation in the Challenge is governed by Freepik’s General Terms and Conditions, which the participant declares to know and accept. These terms are available here.

    The participant guarantees that they hold all rights necessary over the submitted resources and releases Freepik from any liability arising from third-party claims.

    10. Tax matters

    The financial incentives shall be subject, where applicable, to the relevant tax regulations. The participant shall be solely responsible for complying with their tax obligations.

    11. Amendment, cancellation and exclusion

    Freepik reserves the right to amend, suspend or cancel the Challenge, as well as to exclude any participant who breaches these terms or acts fraudulently.

    12. Data protection

    The personal data provided by participants shall be processed by Freepik for the purpose of managing the Challenge, in accordance with applicable data protection regulations and Freepik’s Privacy Policy. Participants may exercise their rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability by contacting rpd@freepik.com.

    13. Governing law and jurisdiction

    These terms shall be governed by Spanish law. For any dispute arising from the Challenge, the parties expressly submit to the Courts and Tribunals of the city of Málaga, expressly waiving any other jurisdiction that may correspond to them.
